Our extraction system cleaning is carried out to the specification laid down by the Heating and Ventilation Contractors Association (HVCA) Standard TR19 and on completion, we provide a Hygiene and Fire Safety Deep Clean Certificate. An annual clean is a requirement of all major insurance companies, so important to build into your annual equipment service.

Gas Safety inspections should also be carried out regularly by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Frequency of inspections may vary depending on the equipment and its use but annual inspections are a reasonable minimum frequency. CanopyCleaning.uk can arrange for these inspections if needed.

The legal obligations of businesses as they relate to commercial kitchens are covered but not limited to the Health & Safety Act 1974 and the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998 (GSUIR). The guidelines designed to ensure you operate within the law are outlined in the Health and Safety information sheets entitled “Maintenance Priorities in Catering” and “Gas Safety in Catering and Hospitality“. It is essential to follow the guidelines to ensure your business complies with the law.
